Japan Industrial Design Promotion Organization [JIDPO]

旧・通商産業省［現・経済産業省］のデザイン審議会の答申をうけて、1969年に設立された「我が国唯一の総合的デザイン振興機関」。旧「グッドデザイン賞」［現・Gマーク］などのデザイン推進活動で知られる。

Established as the "only comprehensive design promotion institution" in 1969, on the basis of report submitted by the Design Council of the former Ministry of International Trade and Industry [present Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry]. It is known for its design promotion activities such as the former "Good Design Award" [present "G-Mark"].
